Danbee (Deb) Kim is a values-based designer, cultural organizer, and educator. She received her Master's in Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago, where she discovered her passions at the intersection of social justice practice and visual communications. Danbee currently designs and illustrates in partnership with grassroots social movements and other change-making groups. She also holds artist residency at Grassroots Collaborative, which unites eleven membership-based organizations in Illinois in order to create policy change on local and statewide levels.
Danbee is also proud to be a member of For the People artists collective, a radical squad of Black artists and artists of color in Chicago who create work that amplifies struggle, resistance, liberation, and survival within and for marginalized communities and movements.
